About Harry
Harry J. Polis, Jr. is a dedicated law enforcement professional with over 22 years of experience with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Since 2021, he has served as Deputy Chief of the Operations Division, managing fiscal operations for an annual budget exceeding $48 million.
Serving a predominantly unincorporated county with both metropolitan and deeply rural areas, Harry brings an understanding of the distinct needs of rural communities. He is a graduate of the FBI National Executive Institute and the FBI National Academy.
