The Stovepipe Academy of Aldie, Virginia is a restored two-room schoolhouse dating to around 1875 — a rare physical survivor of Reconstruction-era rural education. RGI partnered with its stewards to tell its story online.
RGI produced a deep historical research report on the schoolhouse and its community and built a website to share that history — pairing the preservation of the building with the preservation of its memory, and giving a small piece of rural America a lasting home on the web.
